NEMESEA: Tour Dates Cancelled
January 30, 2008Dutch female-fronted gothic rock outfit NEMESEA has released the following statement:
"We are very sorry to inform you that NEMESEA has to cancel all gigs in February. Manda [vocals] has been struggling with flues, colds and laryngitis since December which have resulted in a serious infection on her vocal cords.
"After a gig or rehearsal Manda's voice isn't recovering fast enough. Doing a tour now could mean serious physical damage. This means she has to take a break for a month to get well and regain strength. In March we'll go and see the E.N.T. specialist again and will find out what the results will be but we have lots of confidence that everything will be alright then. From that moment on we'll be playing again, better than ever.
"We know this is very disappointing for everybody who wanted to come to see the shows but for us the disappointment is even bigger. We were really looking forward to play these shows. What's most important is that Manda gets well soon so she can continue with what she loves to do: Sing!!!!!!"
NEMESEA last summer signed a management deal with David Arden, brother of Sharon Osbourne and former manager of James Brown. "He is an amazing person with a lot of skills and knowledge," the band stated at the time. "We have a lot of faith in him. Together with co-manager/PR man Adrian Williams he will be the management team for NEMESEA."
NEMESEA's second album, "In Control", was produced by Tony Platt (AC/DC, BOB MARLEY) and Ronald Prent (RAMMSTEIN) and was released in June 2007.
